The Tennessee Council of Trout Unlimited supports a variety of projects and programs:

We are working with the Cherokee National Forest to restore Southern Appalachian Brook Trout (our only native salmonid) to more of their hstoric range.

We have an active "Trout in the Classroom" (TIC) program to educate youth about ecosystems and their importance to humans.

Starting in 2011, TCTU will conduct an annual "Trout Camp". This page has more information.

We work with the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to restore native brook trout.

Twice a year we have a group meeting with representatives of management agencies such as TVA, TWRA, GSMNP, USFS, and others to advocate responsible management of cold water fisheries and their watersheds.

We have a "specialty license plate" program to provide a reliable source of funding for projects. Tennessee TU Plate

We welcome volunteers and donations to assist with these, and other, endeavors.
