Tennessee Conservation Grants
It’s not too early to start planning programs that can be funded by 2024 grants from the Tennessee Trout Unlimited (TU) Conservation Grant Program.
The grants, funded by sales of the Tennessee Conservation License Plate, are intended to support coldwater fisheries conservation projects that work to achieve TU’s conservation goals. The goals, and examples of projects that would support them, are:
Grant applications are submitted and projects are carried out by TU chapters in Tennessee, sometimes working in partnership with public agencies or nonprofits. No matching funds are required, but chapters are encouraged to match with an equal amount of contributions, in-kind services or volunteer labor.
The program does not fund political or legislative advocacy campaigns, and does not award grants to individuals or to non-TU projects.
Applications must be submitted by July 1 each year—if you have questions, or if there’s any issue with meeting that deadline, please send an email to [email protected].
